Christmas Decoration Description

Kia ora,

This week I have been busy making decorations for Christmas.

I have made a little elf person, a wreath, a snowflake and a reindeer family.

My class is selling them so they can raise money for our ski trip next year.

There is also a talent show at 22 Tennyson Street, Ohaeawai School.

Everything went very well and I really liked best was the reindeer family.

I really need to do more on the gluing because I could not do it before the power cut.

Kia ora,

For the last few days I have been busy.

I have found out that hurdle means the same as hop and jump.

I enjoyed finding out what hurdle was. It was hard to find words that match hop. I learned that there were many other ways to say she jumped.

This week  I have been extra busy learning facts about tigers.

I enjoyed finding facts. I did not enjoy the way it took so long to make the slide. I learnt

My Ambition For 2020.

Kia ora,

This year I am a year 5 at Ohaeawai School. I have enjoyed being a year 5 & having good friends. My favourite thing that has happened is that my friendships are growing. My least favourite thing that has happened is that I have been lagging in maths.

Next year I am going to be a year 6 at Ohaeawai School. My goal for 2020 is to be a good role model for the year 1's. To help my schools rubbish problem I will help with picking up the rubbish everyday. I want to do push myself in writing, reading & maths to become a young leader for 2020.

Hot Air Balloon Survival

This week, we have done science with Miss Fletcher. It was about gases, we learnt about how to make carbon dioxide also the different types of chemicals that were used. In order to make carbon dioxide you have to have oxygen and carbon together they = Carbon dioxide. I found it hard to find the information. I found it easy to make an creative story. I learnt that carbon dioxide does not have air in side of it.

M Peters Spelling

Kia ora everyone
Today, we sat the Margaret Peters Spelling Test. I scored 38 which gives me a spelling age of 11.0.
At the beginning of the year, I scored 38 and had a spelling age of 11.0.
I stayed at the same spelling age with the same score.
I think I got this result because I spell it out in my mind which can sometimes be wrong.
