X's Tables

Kia ora,
This weekend I have been doing
my x's tables on a presentation.

I found that making the slide was easy.
I found writing my x's tables was hard.
I found the way they added interesting.
I learnt was that the way they
add they go in 1, 2, 3 and 4s.
The learning behind the this was
because u need to know your x's tables.

Here is my work:

  1. Awesome work, Elise. I like that you have been keeping busy with your learning. You have got all the correct answers for these problems. However, if you look at the order you have written them you will see when the problem is said it is not quite right.

    Here is an example of what I mean.
    4 x 5 = 20 is said as '4 groups of 5'
    4 x 6 = 24 is said as '4 groups of 6'

    Because you are doing the 4 times tables it should technically be written the opposite way.
    5 x 4 = 20 is said as '5 groups of 4'
    6 x 4 = 24 is said as '6 groups of 4'

    Does this make sense?

    Look at the difference here
    4 x 5 = 20 which is said as 4 groups of 5 would look like this;
    ($$$$$) ($$$$$) ($$$$$) ($$$$$)
    5 x 4 = 20 which is said as 5 groups of 4 would look like this;
    ($$$$) ($$$$) ($$$$) ($$$$) ($$$$)

    Can you spot the difference?
